Theatre "Max the Snorkel Monster"
“Max,” the “unlovable snorkel monster,” emerges from the water, has grown
fins, and is on his way to the school of life.
Teased by his classmates, Max feels misunderstood by those around him—especially
by adults, the school, and societal expectations—and under
pressure. Unexpectedly, he meets the school’s “cleaning lady.”
Over the course of the story, the two “outsiders” develop a special
friendship… At the heart of the play is the desire for recognition, freedom, and
self-determination in contrast to rules, pressure to perform, and a lack of genuine
encounters.
With this play by Swiss author Beat Fäh, we continue our offerings for families and
schools and our long-standing successful collaboration with OVAL – the stage at
EUROPARK, the Kunsthaus NEXUS, and others. This story of an
unusual friendship fits perfectly into our program focus
“Transformations.”
Cast: Pamina Milewska, Raphael Steiner
Direction: Reinhold Tritscher
