"Daring lyricism with roots in free jazz" are the unifying qualities of this Danish-Estonian duo – as well as their penchant for red coats. In fact, this garment, one of which they both happened to be wearing at a meeting, sparked the collaboration. Together, the guitarist, whose solos sometimes sound like Punki Hendrix, and the pianist, who was voted Estonian Jazz Musician of the Year in 2022 and has also written a classical piano concerto for her compatriot Sten Heinoja, explore the intersections of composition and improvisation.
