The Art Trail 2025 honours the life's work of the internationally renowned artist Anton Thuswaldner in a retrospective. Sculptor, painter, draughtsman. His works have been described as contradictory, doubtful and disturbing. Something mystical surrounds the complex art of the Kaprun artist. He seems to have spun his very own worlds of numbers and letter codes as well as hidden secrets around him. In fact, it is criticism, a warning and a powerful wake-up call to society. Thuswaldner's art is about freedom, reality, time and peace. Themes that are as important then as they are today. The figures make the step towards abstraction clear; they can be deciphered if you know the easy-to-crack code. A concept, a word, a message emerges from the mountain of numbers, representing a reality. Each viewer puts them together anew.
