They recommend thinkers to try dancing, and take excursions into coolness, either via "Duck Disco" or "Jägermeister". At numerous concerts in Vienna’s world famous Porgy & Bess, the Opus Jazz Club in Budapest or at the Italian Jazz & Wine of Peace Festival and on three albums by now, the Viennese sextet around drummer/bandleader Lukas Aichinger has formed its highly original sound: "from surf rock to jazz via sound painting to folk music," as they describe themselves. The individuality of the instrumentalists comes into play just as much as the art of collective improvisation. As while their topics may stimulate thought, like the current album title "What happened to eternity?", AHL6 and their abstractly infectious rhythms seduce you to dance.
