Continental BIKE Festival in Saalfelden Leogang awaits

After a year's break, the Continental BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang will resume with a full programme from 10 to 12 September. In addition to a large Expo Area with more than 40 exhibitors and numerous workshops for every level, Epic Bikepark Leogang also hosts a qualifying event for the world’s largest pump track series.

On Friday, September 10th, the third edition of the Continental BIKE Festival Saalfelden Leogang starts at 11 a.m. Over three days, the legendary event gives the opportunity to test and try out – not only the latest bike models of the following season 2022, but also your own skills on the bike. Highlight of the competition calendar is the Pump Track World Championship Qualifier on Saturday. Here it is for all amateur athletes to pump on the Velosolutions Pump Track, which holds the stuff, and thus possibly secure a ticket to the grand final in Lisbon. The race in Leogang is one of 25 qualifying events in the world and is part of the biggest Pump Track racing series ever.

 

Rookies show what they can do

Of course, from Friday to Sunday there is also an opportunity for the little ones among the bike enthusiasts to really let off steam. For example, on the final day of the Scott Junior Trophy, another highlight on the Velosolutions Pump Track will be on the scene. Here, children and young people between the ages of five and 17 can prove themselves on waves and in steep turns – but above all show fun at the sport. The day before, the “20 Epic Years Kids & Youth Day” will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here children between the ages of six and 14 learn all important skills in small groups to master their bike more safely.

 

Workshops for every driver level

In addition, numerous workshops are waiting in the Epic Bikepark Leogang these days to take your own skills on the bike to the next level. Whether beginner, advanced or expert, together with professional guides and coaches, such as the two professionals Elias Schwaerzler or Jasper Jauch, we take to the tracks to further develop with valuable tips in terms of driving technique and safety. The offer ranges from the “Downhill” workshop, to an EMTB test drive for beginners, to a Go Pro Bag Jump workshop. If you have always wanted professional photos of yourself on the bike, you should join the "Fox Hit the Park" - the professional pictures are free for participants. On Friday and Saturday nights, live concerts with Johnny Gass and Chris Shermer await.
